The collaboration between Veneto Film Commission and TFL continues – ScriptLab 2023 OPEN CALL open until November 7, 2022

ScriptLab, the annual screenwriting program promoted by the TorinoFilmLab, will return in 2023.

In short, ScriptLab is looking for both experienced and emerging screenwriters/directors (or teams of screenwriters and directors) from all over the world.. The program is aimed at feature-length fiction films, both original ideas and adaptations, in the early stages of development, and in particular in 2023 there will be particular attention to the comedy projects, in a broad definition of the genre.

In the span of 9 months, i 20 selected projects who start from a treatment phase will grow – divided into 5 groups – thanks to the support of professional tutors and script consultants and the peer-to-peer experience with other fellow directors.

In addition to project submissions, ScriptLab also welcomes 5 trainee Story Editors who will work side by side with each tutor to complete the groups..

The program includes 3 residential modules and 2 online and ends during the TFL Meeting Event, where teams – along with their producer (if applicable) – will have the opportunity to pitch their stories to a specially invited audience of international producers, sales agents, and other film industry professionals, have one-on-one meetings with decision makers, and may even receive some prizes thanks to TFL partners.
