Synopsis

The Moorish captain Othello, at the service of the Republic of Venice, secretly marries Desdemona. Once in Cyprus he falls victim to the deceptions of his standard bearer Jago, who leads him to believe that his wife is cheating on him with the lieutenant Cassius: envy, blind jealousy and the desire for possession will lead to a tragic ending.
