We decided to return to filming and producing in the Veneto region, following the works "Alain Danielou," which I also directed in Venice, "Aquagranda in Crescendo" by Giovanni Pellegrini, also in Venice, and the short "Il carcerero" by Federico Olivetti, set in Padua, all of which have been well received by distributors and festivals nationally and internationally.".

«Marina Cicogna was a sui generis producer who, with extraordinary talent, intercepted some of the great authors in the history of cinema, contributing to the success of their works – he declares Jacopo Chessa, director of the Veneto Film Commission – This film, however, goes far beyond Marina Cicogna's work in cinema: it paints the portrait of a complex, determined character, full of vital energy and ideas. A portrait that also extends to an entire (golden) era of Italian culture and customs, in which Cicogna was a key figure. Finally, Venice and the Veneto are among the key figures in Marina Cicogna's life and in this film, which is poised to be one of the most important Italian documentaries of the season.».

The documentary was made with the contribution provided by the Veneto Region within the framework of 'Action 3.3.2 of the POR FESR 2014-2020 in support of film production”.
