Filming began today, May 12th, on the Cansiglio plain, the location chosen by the famous British director. Ridley Scott, for his latest film entitled The dog stars, based on the 2013 post-apocalyptic novel by Peter Heller.
The area affected by the set will be off limits until next Friday, a Cessna plane and several production trucks have reached the plain.
For the realization of this set, the production, 20th Century Studios, will involve approximately 500 people. Given the delicate characteristics of the plateau on the border between two provinces, collaboration between several agencies was necessary, with the essential availability of institutional representatives in the area, first and foremost Veneto Agriculture. The Veneto Film Commission supported the relationships between the parties involved, following the various steps necessary for the success of the operation.
