March 7, 2022 – Following the entry of the Municipality of Verona, the municipal administration of Jesolo, with which the Veneto Film Commission has been in dialogue for some time, has decided to join the foundation that promotes the region's cultural, environmental, and landscape heritage. The Film Commission will collaborate with one of the most important seaside resorts and will be able to facilitate national and international film productions that choose the Veneto coast as a setting.
The municipal administration has proposed that the Municipality of Jesolo join the Veneto Film Commission. Through this participation, the city will be offered to film producers as a filming location for both national and international film productions. This would be an excellent tool for promoting its cultural, environmental, and landscape heritage. The council's resolution was welcomed by the city council, which approved the proposal at its meeting on Thursday, March 3rd.
The Veneto Film Commission aims to promote and enhance the region's historical, artistic, and landscape heritage, as well as its professional resources, and to support the development of businesses operating in the film and audiovisual sectors. The foundation achieves this goal by offering the region as a setting for TV series and films. The promotion of the city through film productions is a particularly effective method for promoting tourism.
