Presentation

The name "3749 Ponte Chiodo" is due to the bridge which, the only and last of its kind, within the town, characterizes the main entrance of the b&b. It is a very ancient bridge that is characterized, like all the first bridges in Venice, by the absence of a parapet. The only other and much more famous example of this kind is found on the island of Torcello where you can admire the famous "Devil's Bridge", twin of the Venetian "Ponte Chiodo"! Scenes from the famous film Summertime (1955) with Katharine Hepburn were shot on this bridge Looking out from the windows of the delightful and intimate rooms you can immediately be immersed in the scents of its beautiful garden, where in the summer you can take breakfast, or enjoy the splendid view from the river that runs along the main facade of the inn until you meet the lagoon . It is located a few steps from the famous Ca ' d?oro palace and, across the Grand Canal, from the characteristic Rialto fish and vegetable market.
