Casa delle Farfalle

Anni ’80

The first Italian Butterfly House is one of the most visited attractions in the province of Padova. The Live butterfly exhibit has been one of the first to open in the world in 1988. It includes approximately 1,500 square feet divided into different living exhibits that include many free-flying butterflies in their natural habitat and many other species of tropical animals and plants. In addition to this, several interactive workshops and activities are carried out in the Fairy Wood (6000 square meters on a mythological nature trail). The park also offers picnic areas, ample free parking area, accessibility for the disabled and a themed shop. The attraction is located in the center of Montegrotto Terme (one of the largest spas in all Europe with a large amount of curative spa treatments, relaxation and well-being), close to an important archaeological site of the Roman era and at the foot of the Euganean Hills Regional Park.
