Presentation

The building, dating back to the 13th century and restored at beginning of 20th century, was long the property of the Cappello family whose coat of arms is carved in the inner yard arch. This austere Medieval building has an open-brick façade softened by elegant trilobated windows. In the façade the celebrated balcony stands out, from where, according to tradition, Juliet exchanged expressions of devotion with her beloved Romeo. In the courtyard there is the bronze statue of Juliet by Nereo Costantini.
