Monte Celo

It takes its name from the Italian and Latin verb ?celare?, which means ?to hide?. Also this massif is rather imposing. It towers above the town of La Valle Agordina, which stands at its base. Together with Agordo, La Valle is indeed the simplest gateway to its ascension through a driveway starting from the village of Conaggia and reaching Forcella Fólega, where you can find a cabin to rest. It is rocky and steeper on the side facing Sedico, but greener and less angular overlooking Conca Agordina. It is crossed by a mule-track and it is rich in galleries dating back to the First World War. On its peak, on clear days it is possible to spot the Venice lagoon.
