Negozio Olivetti

Commercial buildings

Anni ’50

Created by the great architect Carlo Scarpa, the Olivetti store is a significant example of modern architecture located in one of the most beautiful squares in the world, St. Mark's Square in Venice. The wealth of details and decorative elements, conceived by Carlo Scarpa and made by Venetian master craftsmen, makes this store a precious document: the colorful mosaic floors, the stone staircase in the center of the space, the wooden panelling, the furniture and the windows tell a tale of unequivocal historical value and unrepeatable quality. The store, which began as a showroom for Olivetti products, holds within it the group's valuable collection of typewriters and calculating machines.
