Presentation

Parco Frassanelle is about 200 hectares historic estate belonging since the 13th century to the Papafava dei Carraresi counts, descendants of the da Carrara, lords of Padua from 1318 to 1405. The property lies gently on the northern slopes of the Euganean Hills offering the visitor many opportunities for recreation and rest, both in nature and in elegant renovated houses. In full romanticism, between 1860-1880, Alberto Papafava created the Park and the Caves: his intention was to reproduce in a single space all the possible landscape aspects of an uncontaminated environment by exploiting the natural movement of the hills and drawing paths in the rock between meadows and forests of oaks, ash trees and exotic trees. Parco Frassanelle consists in a monumental gastaldia dating back to 1601 where it is possible to organize events and weddings, the neoclassical villa from 1822, about 80 hectares of cultivated land, an 18-hole golf course and some farmhouses transformed into residences.
