The Training Course in Economics and Financing for the Audiovisual Industry was created to explore how the rules currently in force work and how the main regional calls for applications are structured, guiding students towards a greater understanding of the economics of the audiovisual industry and of the financial resources available, with a specific focus on banking instruments.
Financing an audiovisual product remains the crucial phase of any project and a challenge fraught with creative and financial risks – all the more so without strong expertise in, and awareness of, the economic and financial mechanisms and the legislative and regulatory framework.
Candidates will have the opportunity to talk directly with industry professionals, with representatives of UniCredit – a leading Italian bank that is very active in the sector – and with producers and distributors who have agreed to share their experience. At the end of the course, thanks to a teaching approach that combines theory and practical exercises, candidates will have an in-depth knowledge of the economic and financial concepts underlying an audiovisual project and all the tools they need to deal professionally with both banks and public bodies.
Who it is for
The course is primarily aimed at:
- professionals wishing to develop skills in the audiovisual sector, and small and medium-sized audiovisual entrepreneurs;
- “junior” staff working in the finance and administration departments of medium-to-large companies
- young entrepreneurs wishing to take their first steps in the film and audiovisual industry.

In keeping with a learning-by-doing approach, theoretical lessons will be complemented by practical exercises and workshop sessions, so as to enrich the course content and broaden the learning process.
Scientific Committee
A dedicated scientific committee made up of eminent industry experts and training specialists will oversee the teaching plan, the selection of students and their assessment during and after the course. The scientific committee is appointed by the Management of Fondazione ANICA ACADEMY ETS, after consulting the Founding Members:

Course start date, duration and venue
The course is expected to start in early October 2026 and will last around 70 hours, spread over approximately three months (until mid-December).
The course will be taught by established producers, professionals and managers active in the industry. The training programme will be delivered in a hybrid format:
- Online: three-hour sessions (from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm), two or three evenings a week.
- In person: masterclasses of around 6 hours each at the Anica Academy ETS premises in Viale Regina Margherita 286 – Rome, in purpose-designed spaces that comply with any national and regional regulations, including health regulations, and are equipped with the necessary technical equipment.
Enrolment fees
The course enrolment fee is €2,000.
For those enrolling by 26 July 2026, a reduced enrolment fee of €1,700 applies.
A discount is available for companies enrolling at least two employees or collaborators. The discount terms are to be agreed by contacting Anica Academy directly.
A further 10% discount on the above fees is available to former students of other Anica Academy ETS courses.
Lastly, the Veneto Film Commission Foundation is offering two free places covering the course enrolment fee, reserved for participants resident in Veneto.
Those interested in this benefit must submit their application by Sunday 20 September.
Should more than two candidates resident in Veneto apply, the free places will be allocated at the sole discretion of Anica Academy.
No further grants or concessions, whether based on merit or on financial criteria, are available.
