Bolzano Film Festival Bozen, Euganea Film Festival, and Pordenone Docs Fest, with the support of IDM Film & Music Commission Südtirol, Trentino Film Commission, Veneto Film Commission, Friuli Venezia Giulia Film Commission, and the collaboration of the FVG Audiovisual Fund, organize the 4th edition of the laboratory of consultancy and support for medium and feature-length documentaries in the final stages of production, produced in the North-East.
The Nord/Est/Doc/Camp 2026 program is divided into three stages, each focusing on specific areas and activities within the context of the three partner festivals:
Stage I – Cinemazero/Pordenone Docs Fest – March 12-13, 2026
Intensive feedback with screening, evaluation and discussion of the full rough cut or individual pre-edited scenes (in this case with a maximum duration of 60 minutes), with a panel of 4 established tutors, in the presence of the film's producer and director(s) (and possibly the editor).
Stage II – Bolzano Film Festival Bozen – April 13, 2026
Pitch reserved for an audience of producers, buyers, distributors, and representatives of festivals, broadcasters and platforms, with the screening of a selection of scenes (for a maximum overall duration of 30') and a moderated presentation, followed by individual meetings between the teams and professionals present.
Stage III – Euganea Film Festival – August 28-29, 2026
The workshop is divided into two phases: the first day is open to audiovisual professionals in the Triveneto region, with presentations by experts in promotion, distribution, marketing, communications, and festivals; the second day is reserved for participating teams, with specific consulting sessions for each project (maximum duration 90 minutes).
SELECTION
Participation in the selection is free, at the time of registration you will be asked for the following information: following materials:
Synopsis (maximum 1000 characters including spaces)
Treatment and presentation of themes and characters (maximum 5000 characters including spaces)
Director's Notes
Production Notes and financial plan in principle (with an indication of confirmed and unconfirmed financing)
Trailer/teaser of the project if available
Selection of sequences o rough cut downloadable work (minimum duration 30', maximum 90')
Bio-filmography from the director and preview links of previous works
CV of the professionals and collaborators involved
The project may be in different stages of post-production, but to make the support process more effective, it is recommended to participate with films in the early editing phase.
Registration deadline of the projects: February 5, 2026
Communication selected projects: February 10, 2026
Within the Nord/Est/Doc/Camp program, films are considered in-process, and screenings/presentations are not open to the public. Therefore, they do not constitute participation in the festival program and do not count toward the film's release date or preview.
CONDITIONS
The participation fee expected for each selected project is 500 €.
Half of the fee must be paid within 10 days of notification of the selection (20.2.2026), the other half by the start of the last stage (28.8.2026).
The director(s) and at least a production representative, plus possibly the film editor, must ensure participation to all the stages and activities planned within the Nord/Est/Doc/Camp.
Project representatives are responsible for the delivery of materials necessary for screenings and presentations within the expected and communicated deadlines.
No project can be withdrawn after the selection announcement.
The travel expenses and of possible overnight stay are the responsibility of the participants. The partner festivals will provide meals and access to any networking events, and are available to assist with any hotel reservations.
Films selected for North/East/Doc/Camp will be required to include on the communication and promotion supports the logo of Nord/Est/Doc/Camp, and on opening or closing credits a sign with the words “This film participated in Nord/Est/Doc/Camp” followed by the year of the project's edition, and the relevant logo provided.
